Come Rain, Sleet, Snow or Watching Grandpa…

As some of you know we are helping with my 92-year-old father’s care. It has stretched us where we didn’t know we had room to be stretched, but the Lord is so good. As they say, “The show must go on” or “the mail must go through.”
“Dear Jill, I wanted to let you know that I received my order today. I was so excited when I went to the mailbox and seen my package. It felt just like Christmas! …It was well worth the wait. I can hardly wait to finish my tasks for the day and sit down and enjoy my goodies. Your work is truly a blessing to me and my family. I have also been ordering some of the Tea Cozy’s and I am so excited about them as well. We are making a new tradition of once a month having tea together with my mother, my 11 year old daughter and myself. I am hoping to include my grandmother in some of these and am very excited about four generations of girls sitting down together for tea. All of your items are God sent and I have quite the wish list. May God bless you for the work you are doing. My prayers are with you and your family as you are adjusting to your new life.”

Dear Mrs. Novak, Claire, and everyone else at The Girlhood Home Companion
Hi! My name is Abigail… My grandma gave me a gift subscription to the GHC print magazine and the clubs for my 16th birthday this summer. I wanted to tell you how much I LOVE the magazine and what you are doing! I am sure God will bless you for encouraging so many young ladies and their mothers this way. The “Make it Lovely” issue was lovely, and it inspired me to do some sewing (I am not normally very fond of it) for my baby sister. And I got one of Anne Shirley’s “thrills” to see the “Between Friends” issue in my mailbox! It has to be the best yet! All the articles were very uplifting and interesting. I especially enjoyed “Searching for Sea Glass” and the L.M. Montgomery journals, and seeing photos of my dear friend Ashley (who I have not seen for two years) in “An Ice Cream Social”! And Breezy Brookshire’s sweet paper dolls…oh, I cannot say enough about them! I also like the Tea Cozy and Horse Clubs (I love horses!!!)…I was also wondering if you accepted poetry or short story submissions from your readers. I love to write both kinds, and if you would like, I can send you some.
Thank you again for publishing the GHC! I am really looking forward to getting the next one. Keep up the good work!
Sincerely,
Miss Abby S.

“I just received our first copy of the magazine!!!…I’ve only flipped through it and I’m LOVING what I see!!! It’s lovely. Oh, my word! If you have girls and are raising them to be Christian women – you should get this magazine. And I’ve only flipped through it!

Hi Ladies!
“This is a fabulous magazine…It is a wonderful magazine for your girls and you! I love it and this edition is FABULOUS! It has a whole section dedicated to Anne of Green Gables! Loved it! Plus a beautiful article with Prairie Flower Linda and her girls! It’s great!”

“My amazingly beautiful copy of The Girlhood Companion arrived safe and sound. I might add that it is INCREDIBLE! I simply am drooling over every nook and cranny of it! You have rekindled the kindred spirit, red-headed girl in me and renewed my fervor for my romantic inclinations. I may not be Anne Shirley, but there are days when my red-head and freckled face has felt exactly like her! Now that I am 35, I still feel like that character and am inspired by her zeal for life. Thank you for breathing life into the cobwebs and seemingly foggy (at times) mind, where I’ve forgotten to embrace Anne with an “e” or Katherine with a “K.” I can’t wait to share the amazing stories with my 2 daughters and explore all the fun nuances of her character.”

I just had to share this wonderful letter we received today about our new issue.Thought you would enjoy it.
Hello Novak Family,
My amazingly beautiful copy of The Girlhood Companion arrived safe and sound. Thank you for breathing life into the cobwebs and seemingly foggy (at times) mind, where I’ve forgotten to embrace Anne with an “e” or Katherine with a “K.” I can’t wait to share the amazing stories with my 2 daughters and explore all the fun nuances of her character.
I might add that Breezy and her sister Emily Rose have such a gift to share and their paper dolls are wonderful! I’ve been following them for a while on their blogs and was so excited to see their work in your magazine! Fun!!
To my delight, I was pleased to see the Stubb’s Family highlighted again! I was introduced to them this summer in your magazine and went out to buy their Farmer’s Market material as quick as I could! I also am following them on their blog and have enjoyed reading all about their world.
If the magazine hadn’t already been packed with fun and excitement I almost fell off my chair when I saw Audrey and Tim Hollatz being featured with their photography, recipes and their tea room! Last year my brother and now sister-in-law were married in their beautiful garden and had the reception in the tea house. It was lovely and Audrey and Tim are incredibly sweet!
Congratulations on publishing such a lovely and edifying magazine! The Lord has blessed your hands and hearts…
Thanks in advance and have a wonderful day!
