A favorite Christmas memory from my childhood and something we have continued with our children is a special Christmas Eve tradition. My sisters and I always received a gift on Christmas Eve and it even though we always knew it would be pajamas it was still so much fun to receive them and snuggle up at night in our new pajamas. We would all get our new pajamas on and have hot cocoa before going to bed. We have done this with our children and even added another tradition that my husband had with his siblings.

Merry Christmas!

I don't know if I have a favorite Christmas memory as a child but since becoming a wife and mother, Christmas has become a very special time of year. We are now expecting baby #6 and with each new child there are so many precious memories that each child brings, each of their very different personalities brings a different flavor to our home, they are all so precious.
Thank you for your ministry, it is truely a blessing to our family.
Merry Christmas!
PS I've told 3 friends about your giveaway/blog :)
Blessings, Michelle

One of my many favorite Christmas memories was when I was about 5 years old. My preacher Grandfather planned a program for the family that gathered from across the country that year. He had me memorize Luke 2:8-14. My mother worked with me for weeks to help me memorize it and on Christmas Eve I recited it for the whole family. I remember that gathering well, and I can still quote that passage from memory.

One of my favorite memories is from Christmases when my daughter was little. Her dad's had to work almost every Christmas Eve since she was born, so it's usually just the two of us together at home that night. At some point, we started having "Christmas Eve teas." We'd turn off all the lights except the ones on the tree, put on some Christmas music, and have a little tea party w/ flavored herbal teas and cookies or crackers. (Occasionally, her teddy bears would be invited.) It was just a peaceful, sweet time.

The original "Frosty The Snowman" brings back wonderful memories of my younger brothers' birth. I vividly remember getting very upset that I had to turn off the television so that I could trudge out in the cold night, in my pajamas none the less! My brother is no longer alive, so whenever I can share this story with my children along with the tradition of watching a wonderful holiday story it brings a little joy to my heart. I will tell my friend Wanda about this giveaway!

My grandparents had 12 children. So going to grandma's was the best ever because we grandchildren played non-stop until we got to eat tamales, which we eat only at x-mas.

hmm... I think my favorite Christmas memory is when my siblings and myself put up a surprise Christmas tree one night while my Father and my older brother were away on a missions trip to Thailand... It was fun to see the surprised looks as people came downstairs :)

My favorite Christmas will probably be this year since we just had a baby girl 5 days ago. I enjoyed when we had our son just after Christmas. Having a baby to hold and being very pregnant does help remind of the reality of Mary having a baby. Judi

After living only a few months in the charming country town we had moved to, our doorbell rang on Christmas Eve at about 8pm. We found our post master with boxes that had arrived that day for our two daughters, who were 3 and 5 years of age. They were presents from family and he wanted to make sure that they had them to open on Christmas Day.
May the Light of His Love Shine Upon Us All,
