Thank-you Jill..I’m so happy you enjoyed my writing. I’ve been journaling for quite a while now and every so often, I stop and go back to the beginning of the many pages and re-read the moments in time which bring both smiles and tears as life often does. I have been blessed..not only by having my Mom as my Best Friend but also for the numerous inspiring female elders who treated me as their own and helped to shape me into who I am today by their examples.
Little by little, page by page, they will be captured into my words as well as memories. Thank-you for your thoughtfulness..I am sure it will be appreciated, not only by me but by some special young ladies in my life.
God Bless!
Each season has its own rhythm, and truly, whatever season I’m in ends up my favorite! I enjoy the break from homeschooling, lots of swimming, “summer” foods–fresh fruit, grilling, homemade salsa, wearing a breezy dress and sandals, just that laid-back feeling that summer has!
I am excited that I have found your website. I have a daughter who is 8 and another that is 13 months. I would love to have another resource for us that would help them become Godly women! The things I love about summer is how laid back it is. We love to work out in our yard as a family. The kids helped plant a garden and flowers. We love to stay up late, have a fire, and make s’mores!
Our family is looking forward to a week on the Oregon coast. I have 4 kids, three of which are girls. Would love to share this with them.
I love your publication! It is always a joy to read it cover to cover.
I am looking forward to the opportunity of focusing more on our family without all of the worldly interruptions. I hope to teach my children the beauty of enjoying our home. I have 3 girls and have tried to teach them the need for a joyful home.
My family and I love to visit the Pennsylvania State Parks during the summer months. We like to hike, picnic and then take a dip in the lake. We especially like Rickett’s Glen and World’s End. We have 3 children, 19, 10, and 7, plus a foster baby. Two of my children at home are girls, although I have 4 girls altogether. When I was young, our youth group took “Mystery Trips” on Sundays. Only the leaders knew where we were going, but we usually ended up at a state or other park to picnic and swim. Perhaps that is where my love for this began. I’d love to share the issue with my daughters.
Summer memories are of wonderful times at my families cottage in the Finger Lakes region on New York. It was filled with catching fireflys, identifying the stars, and picking wildflowers. We always got dirty during our explorations but Grandma cleaned us up in a big bucket of water till we were shiney again. Then, Smores and off to bed. Sleeping with the windows open and listening to the bullfrog serenade us to sleep. It was a wonderful time that is alive and well in my memory. Technology can never compare to simpler times. I try to give my children the same experiences and hope it stays alive for them as well.
Ironically, since we live in Florida, we do the bulk of our schooling in the Summer while it’s crazy hot. We look forward to the more temperate months when we take time off to enjoy the outdoors
I’m hoping I win this giveaway. The Lord has impressed upon me that I need to cultivate my relationship with my only daughter who is 8!
Bless you!
